Don't ask me which one of these guys was the reason why I gave this song a shot, cause honestly I don't know. But, I'm glad I did cause this song is catchy as fuck. You prob don't believe me, but your gonna have to take my word and give it a look cause it doesn't disappoint the least.
I am honestly a HUGE fan of this guy ever since my friend made me download his mixtape nostalgia,ULTRA. Frank Ocean is a member of the group OFWGKTA, which is led by artist Tyler, The Creator. If you weren't already aware, Ocean will be featured on two of the tracks off of Kanye and Jay-Z's upcoming album Watch The Throne, and I guarantee those are two of the best. He is about to blow up so look out for this guy. Track is tagged up for now but I will re-post as soon as the tag less comes out. Enjoy y'all.
Obie Trice is still in the game? I wasn't too sure considering this is the first good track I have heard from the guy in who knows how long. Regardless, Trice goes in hard over this one which happened to be a pleasant surprise for me. Check it out.
Never really been a fan of Asher Roth but every now and then he grabs my attention. This is the first single which is slated to be on his upcoming sophomore album. Really catchy song by the man who let the world know that he loves college.
Here's the first official single off Drake's new album Take Care, which is currently set to drop October 24th. I'm a fan of this song, it has more of an Over feel to it. I wouldn't be mad if his album was a lot more like this, and a lot less singing, but I know that's wishful thinking.
French Montana recurits Young Spitta for this new track. French Montana is rumored to be signing with Maybach Music, with pretty much every other upcoming rapper nowadays. This is a smooth song, and a good look from both these dudes.
This is my probably one of my favorite songs out right now, by some chick named Lore'l. The features are what makes this song, as Red Cafe and Corey Gunz both come through with some real nice verses. This chick sounds alot like Nicki Minaj, so if that's up your alley then check this shit out.
This song is outta control good. Honestly its ridiculous how hard Em and Royce destroy this track. If you are a fan of their work, there is no doubt in my mind you will love this cut.
As you all know, I am a huge fan of Tyga, and in my opinion is the best outta the whole Young Money camp. In anticipation of his Careless World album he is preparing, he decides to drop the 2nd mixtape in his Well Done series. He goes in over some top beats in the game right now. Click here for the whole thing.
We'll keep the mixtapes rolling, this time with Pusha T's Fear of God mixtape. Pusha T is usually pretty hit or miss with me, but he definitely does his thing throughout this album. These are my two favorites, with Feeling Myself currently all over the radio. The second one features Pharrell and Curtis, which is good to see there both alive and well.
Lil Wayne finally drops his highly anticipated mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait in prelude to his upcoming Carter IV project. These are a few of the standout tracks, posted in rank of my preference. This mixtape definitely isn't No Ceilings or Drought 3 worthy, but he still does his thing.
These are the best songs off of DJ Khaled's We the Best Forever album, which is available in stores now. First up is I'm Thuggin featuring Flocka and Ace Hood, and you already know what to expect from these two. The second one features some of the top up and coming rappers out there right now including Big Sean and Vado, who definitely do there thing. Last is my favorite, A Million Lights which features a slew of Young Money rappers not named Lil Wayne.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is official, Akon is finally back and putting out sick ass tracks on the reg. Pumped that Akon was able to not only keep himself on the map, but even stepped up his game of late.
Play-N-Skillz have been making a habit of not only producing hot songs, but actually putting out their own dope tracks. This one comes off their recent Fireworks Mixtape. Real catchy beat on this one.
I hate when Khaled does anything on a track, but he has made a habit of scooping up awesome rappers and throwing them together on a track. Jeezy and Luda absolutely murder this track. We The Best Forever just recently dropped, so make sure you cop it now.
This song is pretty dope, many thanks to 50 killing the hook. Tony Yayo doesn't usually put out anything worth your ear, but this one is an exception. Definitely give this a shot, some real solid features.
Awesome song by Gilbere Forte, who hooks up with Tyga and Raak on this joint. Nice track with a pretty catchy chorus. You may not love this but you definitely won't hate it.
Bow Wow goes in real hard over this one. I am amped to hear his first album since he signed to Young Money, shit should have some real legit ass songs. But here is some solid Bow Wow while we are waiting.
Okay, so I am sorry I haven't posted in a hot minute, but you gotta forgive me...the kid was on vacation chillen on the beach. Well during my relaxation time, I was finally able to listen to a couple of the albums which have dropped recently. This is an awesome song with a pretty hilarious hook. Check this ish out. (Added in some bonus tracks which were also good off the album, we ain't slackin over here)
This is one hot remix/video with some dudley ass features. This serves as a nice reminder of how much of a savage Nelly is. Video had my full attention through its entirety, worth it.
This may not be your style, but as I am sure you all can tell by now I like shit like this. Nice alternative kinda track which I guess can be considered R&B (not really but sorta). You see The Cataracs & Dev on this track and you would expect a club track, but this is more of a smooth/chill song which Shwayze has made a habit of putting out. Give it a shot.
Gym Class have always been one of my favorite groups which can kinda be considered hip-hop. I love how they bring a different sound to the table and Travie McCoy always adds nice vocals to any track he is on, especially one of his own. This is a hot ass single, definitely moved toward the top of my playlist.
Now this is what I am talking about Game, going in hard like he used to back in the day. Love how he starts this with "guess who's back" too, because this is the kind of stuff I like to hear and expect from him. Let's hope the R.E.D. Album can be a resurgence for Game. Not obsessed with the chorus but Game's verses make up for it.
Here is the best song off of Gorilla Zoe's album King Kong, which just recently dropped. I have always been a fan of Gorilla Zoe and this is definitely one of his better songs of late. Last song I heard from him that was this good was Baddest Bitch, which will forever remind me of Dewey Beach senior week. Actually gonna throw that shit at you guys as a bonus link, enjoy.
To add on to my main man Jeffy G's post below, here is another dope ass song by recent mainstream artist Tinie Tempah. He performed this at the Miss America pageant and murdered it. Yes, I was watching the Miss America pageant. Check this bitch out.
Tinie Tempah's albums been out for a while now, but I never really gave it a shot til the other day. This is one ridiculous song right here. He teams up with Swedish House Mafia for some real nice house/rap. I gotta admit this dude is not half bad as I hear more and more from him.
I almost turned this off after I heard after Soulja's "she bad like a student in detention" line, but I'm glad I didn't cause the more I listen to this, the more I like it. This is a nice club song and you already know what to expect from Breezy, so check it out
Okay so I have to post this props to Dbo, because 1. I have not slept yet, and 2. it is the weekend and I am ready to go...this song is so dirty, I am not sure exactly when it came out but if you haven't heard it like me, you gotta give this one a shot. One of the best tracks I've heard in a minute. Seriously this is on repeat.
Probably the best track off of New Boyz new album Too Cool To Care, now adds the addition of a dope ass video. If you missed this track the first time we posted it go back and cop it now.
Uhh believe it or not, this shit goes hard. NoEDall (yeah idk either) samples the 90's hit Sweet Dreams n recruits some dude by the name of Lil Wayne for a recycled verse of his. This shit is edited for now, but I hada post it cause this is pretty catchy.
Who actually knew this dude Kid Ink was capable of puttin out good music? He gets everyone's favorite rapper Mann for this single off his upcoming Daydreamer album, which is dropping tomorrow. The more I hear from him, the more I'm lookin foward to this album.
Words can't even describe the type of the song this is, so you're just going to have to listen to it yourself. This song is pretty ridiculous, and has continued to grow on me the more I listen to it. If you're a fan of these artists, I'm sure you'll agree with me. Btw Luda goes in on this song n prob makes it more worthy of a listen.
Apparently 50's going through some tough times right now with Interscope, so it looks like his album is going to be put on delay for now. However he comes through with some new shit, and damn it doesn't disappoint. It's good to hear from Curtis again, and it sounds like he's getting back to that Get Rich or Die Tryin' flow of old.
Game recruits some heavy weights in the industry right now for his next single off of The R.E.D. Album, which finally seems like it's shaping up to be released this year. This song goes real hard and everyone does there thing, especially Busta n Wayne so check it out
Posting this absolutely has to be done considering the kid is going to the Chesney and Zac Brown Band concert this weekend in Philly. Ludacris spits some nice stuff over this country beat, and the original of this song is great as well. Weird collab, but I am not hating.
So apparently Kid Ink is coming out with an album on the 21st, who knew. Well, he did one thing right and that's grabbing Sean Kingston to sing the hook on his new dope single. This is a real nice slow cut that you will definitely enjoy.
Finally, J. Cole's first single off his upcoming untitled debut album. This is a real track which sampled Kanye's classic hit The New Workout Plan. That should be enough right there to sell you on giving this track a shot.
This song sounds very single-worthy and is set to appear on Kelly Rowland's Here I Am album, dropping soon. After catching alot of buzz with her first single Motivation, she keeps it goin with Big Sean on this one. Catchy song right here if this is what your into.
So apparently Diddy's boy band Day 26 exists still, as they team up with Roscoe Dash for this single off their new album. Never heard one song I actually enjoyed from these dudes but I'm not gonna lie, this song is real nice. Roscoe Dash is a good look on any song, and definitely adds nicely to this one. It's clean for now, but too good not to post.
Whenever there's new Bei Maejor it's always a good day. He really comes through on this song off his upcoming project he's putting together. You guys already know what to expect when Bei Maejor comes through so enjoy
Damn Pitbull has blown up big time over this past year. After hoping on J-Lo's first single, he teams up with her hubby for another song off his upcoming album Planet Pit. Pitbull certainty knows how to make hit after hit so as long as he keeps puttin out music like this, I'll keep bumpin his shit.
Here's the visuals to Bad Meets Evil's first banger off their upcoming Hell: The Sequel album dropping next week. This video is pretty crazy and it definitely adds to the already good song. Get it here if you haven't already.
God only knows who these two clowns are right here, but they get Soulja Boy, Waka, Ace Hood, amongst others to give the remix treatment, so they're alright in my books. This song goes real hard so I can't hate on this one bit.
Here's the remix to Kelly's new single, and possibly the hottest song on the radio right now. She recruits Trigga, Busta, n Fab, who all come through with some real nice verses. I was never really a big fan of this song, but three real good features always help.
An Iyaz song produced by Guetta, can't really go wrong with this one no matter which way you look at it. I'm saying that to say this, shout out to my man Jeffy G, happy birthday big guy. Hope everyone who checks this blog out rages hard this weekend celebrating the kids bday's. We'll be going H.A.M, I can guarantee you that.
So Rock City is finally free of Akon's grasp by no longer being signed under his label. This makes me real fired up because this means this group, who I have said many times throughout this blog that I love, will finally get the chance to put out an album. If they can make tracks like this that aren't set to end up anywhere but maybe a mixtape, can you imagine how sick their album is going to be?
Alright, I am not gonna lie, I never thought I would see anything else from this group, let alone something that I liked. Their new track Dreaming is really legit, and got me to do some more research and listening to their other stuff. What do you know, this group has a bunch of other dope tracks. Not all of these are really rap or r&b, but all very much worth listening to. Really chill songs to listen to while your hanging out day drinking during the summer. Check this shit out.
Well you all know why your listening to this song and why it's deserving of a post. Yes, it is because it features two of the hottest rap/r&b artists in the game, who go in real hard on this track. T-Pain pulls some Twista-like fast rapping shit that sounds pretty legit. Worth letting your ears give this one a shot for sure.
Here's some new Sammy Adams shit to get you pumped for this coming weekend. To be honest I got and posted this song before even listening to it, and it didn't disappoint one bit. Damn this song is making me ready to get after it, I highly recommend bumpin this shit when raging this weekend.
New shit right here from two of the most least talented rappers in the game right now, Rocko n Plies. This is off Rocko's new mixtape with DJ Scream, if anyone actually cares. I gotta admit, this song is very smooth, catchy, and truthful. Sounds like this could be the anthem for a lotta people this summer, so give it a look.
